“Here, the days are coming,” says Adonai,“when I will make a new covenant with the house of Isra’el and with the house of Y’hudah. Jeremiah 31: 31 CJB
I’ve written before about how Jesus fulfilled Shavuot [Pentecost] as completely as He fulfilled Pesach [Passover]. At Pesach, Yeshua completely fulfilled the Torah. But the Lord knew, that yet another radical change was needed because Mankind was incapable of keeping the Torah.
The key to this is the New Covenant
To see this more clearly, we need to continue on in Jeremiah 31 to verse 33:
“For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra’el after those days,” says Adonai: “I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people.
That’s what happened for the first time in Acts 2: 1–4
The festival of Shavu‘ot arrived, and the believers all gathered together in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from the sky like the roar of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them. They were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and began to talk in different languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.
This is where the modern Jews and Christians have both messed things up—very badly. I read a long post this morning by a Jewish brother in the Lord. I’m not harassed much by emotion, but I nearly broke out in cathartic sobbing. He explained his position well—but as is true of almost all Jews and Christians in these days of the Great Falling Away the empowerment of the Ruach HaKosesh [Holy Spirit] was left out completely.
I strongly agree with Paul’s (in the Substack essay linked above) assessment of Christianity. The Church has been demonically broken up into the evil of denominationalism. There are very few churches preaching the Gospel. Plus, out of the few that are preaching the Gospel, the vast majority have fallen into the same trap that Paul presented in his Substack essay.
The sword of the Spirit is neither the Torah nor the Bible
People living in this way both fall into the same trap. The Sword of the Spirit found in Ephesians 6 is not even Logos. It is Rhema or the Anointed Word created by the Ruach HaKodesh to specifically deal with a specific situation. In fact, in many key places in the Brit Chadasha [New Covenant] the Greek word rhema is used instead of logos. I’ve written about this many times, and in many places.
For example, it is “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the rhema of God.” There are many other examples like this—and this is an important understanding you need to have.
But the main problem with Christianity is intellectual doctrine
The major problem is that even the Messianic Jews and Christians who accept the Bible as authoritative often fall into the sin of idolatry—Bible worship. The Bible is not the only trustworthy source of Truth. And understand me clearly, we are to feed on the Tanakh and the Brit Chadasha daily. Every year I discover on deeper levels that the Bible is literally true. It does indeed give us trustworthy reference material. But as Jesus spoke in a stern rebuke [John 5:39–40 RSV]—
You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.
The Father, through the Ruach HaKodesh, and Yeshua Messiah is that only trustworthy source of Truth. In fact it goes much further than that—G-d IS Truth. As our Messiah said very clearly,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.”
These basic Truths were expressed by Yeshua Messiah in John 17:3 CJB—
And eternal life is this: to know you, the one true God, and him whom you sent, Yeshua the Messiah.

The key remains Jeremiah 31:33
Remember what John the Baptist said in Luke 3:16 CJB—
so Yochanan [John] answered them all, “I am immersing you in water, but he who is coming is more powerful than I — I’m not worthy to untie his sandals! He will immerse you in the Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] and in fire.
This baptism is where Jeremiah’s prophecy came to pass. This is still true today. You probably know this already. But, you cannot understand the scriptures except by the Holy Spirit [Ruach HaKodesh]. This is the answer to virtually all the troubles in Christianity and in Israel. The best you can do without the Holy Spirit is doctrine. Christian Doctrine is in the same place as the Talmud [both the Mishnah (the core legal code) and the Gemara (commentary and analysis of the Mishnah)] . Both the Doctrines and the Talmud are created intellectually by Mankind and neither of them are anointed scripture.
The Brit Chadasha [New Covenant] tells us that the fulfillment of Shavuot was Jesus’ Baptism of the Holy Spirit where the Torah is written on the heart of the reborn believer. However, the enemy worked so successfully that what I wrote in the previous sentence is only now seen—usually as a revelation—to both Jews and Gentiles.
You simply ask Jesus for His Baptism of the Holy Spirit
This has been left out of the standard salvation procedures of both Jew and Gentile. The result is powerless believers who missed the core of the New covenant. The basic truth is simple. If you ask Jesus for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, He gives it to you instantly.
The only problem is yet another major problem with the standard salvation procedures of both Jew and Gentile. The foundation of rebirth is a clean repentance from all your sin. Again it is simple, just ask the Lord to show you all your sin. He will show you everything needed to bring you into complete repentance. Once you repent, Jesus forgives you, and you can accept Him as your Lord and King. You ask Him to come within you, and He does. In that process the Holy Spirit writes the Torah on your heart.
This process normally leaves you in the deep state of personal worship, directly between you and the Lord, our Messiah. Fairly soon you’ll run out of words. But, just relax and He’ll fill your mouth with His words in your new prayer language. This is what the Brit Chadasha calls praying in the Spirit. This is the second weapon [both defensive and offensive] in the armor explained in Ephesians 6.
This was always the primary use of the gift of languages. Remember, Paul told us to pray for the gift of prophecy instead of tongues in 1 Corinthians 14:1–5—
Make love your aim, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. On the other hand, he who prophesies speaks to men for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than he who speaks in tongues, unless some one interprets, so that the church may be edified.
But shortly after that, Paul said that he prayed in tongues more than any of them. He was normally praying in his private prayer language. In the link above, I list several of the powerful uses of your prayer language.
It’s better if you are not using tongues or prophecy in church services. These days, there are no elders or leaders who know how to discern either prophecy or tongues. That is a necessary part of manifesting the gifts in church services. This leadership failure is also the result of a massive offensive by Satan and his minions. I discuss a lot of these issues in the newsletter that is part of this Substack [click on the image].
For all the churches I've attended, I've never heard of the baptism of the Holy Spirit until the one I now attend. People say if you've received it, you'll speak in tongues. That hasn't happened to me as of now.
Thank you!
