What's the agenda?
The end of civilization as we know it.
I’m sitting here this morning appalled. It seems like a normal day as I get up and gradually see my aged flesh get accustomed to life as it has become. I have gone through my normal practices of making a pot of coffee, while I do my morning exercises. With that accomplished, I went through my normal morning emails, newsletters, Substack articles, and all the rest. I’ve been getting more and more upset.
I read a lot of news. I aggressively study what is going on in the world. I spend a lot of effort making sure that I am available for the Lord to use however He wants to do that. However, it is clear this morning that no one cares, or is even aware that the end of civilization is in view. I am completely convinced that within a decade, plus or minus a year or two, the Messiah will be seated on His new throne in Jerusalem.
Islam, Buddhism, socialism, democracy, transhumanism, AI, and all the rest will be gone. Everyone who hates God will be eliminated. The population of the world will be thinned to far less than a billion people. War will be gone and the new age of the Millennial Reign of the Messiah will be making sense of the mess that is left after Armageddon.
Even in my world of teaching prophecy, I did not see a single story this morning about what is coming upon the world. I expect that from the world. But I’m immersed in articles, essays, and speculation from believers who are well aware of what is coming.
The soon coming end was not even mentioned today
So it seems good to the Spirit and me that I should rectify that problem. I have no idea what the Lord wants me to say here. It’s coming to me the same way you are reading it. One thing I am sure of is that I need to remind us that the end is near. In fact, the coming of the end is rapidly accelerating at a speed that nearly blurs reality entirely.
I’ve watched several YouTubers remark recently as they get to the end of their latest video. “Things have already changed enough so that the first half of what I have talked about today is already out of date.” And again I see the raised hands, the shrug, and hear the little chuckle of near disbelief about the reality of our world today.
Are you ready to go?
This is the time to make sure you are cleaned up, looking up, and listening for the shofar. It’s a time to be carefully watching for people in our sphere of activity who are having trouble. It’s time to be a bearer of good news and encouragement. As Paul wrote a couple of millennia ago, “Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
