I know I’ll hear squealing, but it’ll be a relief to not have to be concerned as much about how bad the Chinese replacements are in quality. There’s no real way to determine which Chinese products are actually a good choice. I suspect there’s a good chance that we’ll rediscover the better quality of the American options.
As always, it comes back to prayer. If there are any people with a functioning brain left, you’ll remember that the Holy Spirit can lead you to bargains and closeouts, and all kinds of ways to save resources.
Jesus has promised to meet our needs. To be honest, I expect we simply need to cut back a little on all the stuff. It’s gotten crazy. I just read someone talking about toilet paper. If any of that is made in China that’s pure foolishness. There are plenty of US manufacturers of that recycled paper.
We need to look for other suppliers
Back in my younger days, I spent many years with patches on my jeans—to save money. A little America ingenuity would work now like it did back then. We don’t need more stuff. We need more character. We all need to ask the Lord to show us the path through the mess. I can remember years of living off the riches of Salvation Army and thrift stores.
Talk to your grandparents, they remember how to do all this stuff. Meet together and help each other. Keep focused on what is happening in the world as it quickly goes to Hell in a handbasket. And don’t forget the farmer’s markets. This is all simple stuff. We’re headed the other way, to Heaven in a snatch and grab.
The end is approaching fast
It’s likely that the world system will use this to grab more control over our lives. So what? We need to be preparing for the new life as the helpmate of Yeshua Messiah. That will be coming very soon. Look up, and keep your eyes focused on the coming Kingdom of Israel with our spouse seated on the throne. Remember Psalm 37:25—
I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread.
The Lord has it covered. Turn to Him. Pray daily or more. Remember you could only harvest enough manna for the day. Faith is like that also. You get enough for the day. Yeshua takes care of His people. Help those that you can help. Be a good witness about what the Lord is doing in your life.
